Privacy policy


Quantum Fund Traders Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who utilize our services. The Company builds a system for protecting personal information, ensures that all employees recognize the importance of personal information protection, and strictly enforces its implementation to promote the protection of personal information.

Personal Information

"Personal Information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act"). It refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific person through name, date of birth, or other descriptions, or includes personal identification codes.

Purpose of Using Personal Information

The Company acquires and uses Users' personal information within the scope necessary for the following purposes. If the Company intends to use personal information beyond the scope of these purposes, it will obtain prior consent from the Users through an appropriate method.

  • To provide the Company's services (hereinafter referred to as "the Service")
  • To improve or enhance the Service and develop new services
  • To inform Users about new features, updates, campaigns, and other services provided by the Company (including sending promotional emails, flyers, or other direct mail)
  • To communicate maintenance notifications and other important information as necessary
  • To respond to Users' inquiries, opinions, and requests regarding the Service (including identity verification)
  • To report Users on their usage status of the Service
  • To request cooperation in surveys and interviews related to the Service, invite Users to participate in various events, or report on such events
  • To analyze the usage history of the Service and use the results to improve or develop the Service and distribute advertisements
  • To provide Users' personal information to participating companies in Company-hosted events with the Users' consent or application
  • To identify and restrict Users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes

Management and Protection of Personal Information

The Company strictly manages personal information and does not disclose or provide Users' personal data to third parties without consent, except in the following cases. Additionally, the Company takes preventive and corrective measures to protect against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage of personal information.

  • When necessary to protect human life, body, or property and obtaining Users' consent is difficult
  • When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and obtaining Users' consent is difficult
  • When cooperating with government agencies, local governments, or their delegated entities to execute legally mandated duties, and obtaining Users' consent may impede the execution of such duties
  • Other cases permitted by law

Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling

The Company may outsource the handling of personal data, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the intended purposes. In such cases, the Company carefully evaluates the qualifications of the subcontractor and ensures that the contract includes confidentiality obligations and other necessary supervision.

Disclosure of Personal Information

When Users (limited to the individual User in this section) request the Company to disclose their retained personal information, the Company will promptly comply. However, the Company may refuse disclosure in part or in whole under the following circumstances, and in such cases, the Company will notify the User without delay.

  • If disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or a third party
  • If disclosure may significantly interfere with the proper execution of the Company’s business
  • If disclosure would violate applicable laws and regulations

Correction, Addition, or Deletion of Retained Personal Data

  • If Users find that their personal information retained by the Company is incorrect, they may request the Company to correct, add, or delete the information (hereinafter referred to as "Corrections").
  • Upon receiving such a request, the Company will promptly conduct the necessary investigation and, if it determines that the request is justified, it will promptly make the necessary Corrections.
  • After determining whether to proceed with the requested Corrections, the Company will promptly notify the User.

Suspension of Use, Deletion, or Cease of Third-Party Provision

  • Users may request the Company to suspend the use, delete, or cease the provision of their retained personal data to third parties (hereinafter referred to as "Usage Suspension").
  • If the Company determines that the request is justified after an investigation, it will implement the necessary Usage Suspension. However, if fulfilling the request involves excessive costs or is otherwise difficult, the Company may take alternative measures to protect Users' rights and interests.
  • After determining whether to proceed with the Usage Suspension, the Company will promptly notify the User.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Company reviews and strives to improve the content of this Policy as necessary. Unless otherwise specified by laws or this Policy, the Company may revise the contents of this Policy. Changes to the Privacy Policy will take effect when notified to Users via the Company's prescribed methods or posted on the Company's website.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The Company complies with applicable Japanese laws and regulations regarding the handling of retained personal information.

Handling of Complaints and Inquiries

The Company accepts and responds appropriately and promptly to complaints and inquiries from Users regarding the handling of personal information. Additionally, the Company promptly responds to Users' requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or refusal of use or provision of personal information.

Security Measures

The Company implements organizational, physical, human, and technical measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage of personal information. These measures include restricting access to personal information files, logging access records, and implementing security measures against unauthorized external access. In case of any incident such as a personal information breach, the Company will promptly report to the relevant supervisory authorities and take necessary corrective actions in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related guidelines.
